Exciting News! Model Search!

I am thrilled to announce a wonderful new adventure!  I have partnered with the fantastic owner of a beautiful boutique here in Windsor on a quest for  new faces.

Lindsay of  Bump Maternity & Baby on Erie Street in Windsor has been kind enough to display a sample of my portrait art in their store and I am proud to be providing images of expectant moms and new babies this spring!

You can enter in store at  Bump until March 31st, 2010  to win a free photo shoot.

We will be choosing FIVE  bumps,  (moms-to-be in week 33 to 39 as of April 1, 2010)  and FIVE  babies,  (newborn to 24 months).

All models must be wearing fashions purchased at Bump for the photo shoot.  Images will be feature as portrait art in store and/or at  http://www.bumpmaternityonline.com

Sessions will take place in April 2010.

I met the most wonderful little family yesterday.  They welcomed me into their beautiful home to capture some moments of their sweet baby boy’s new life.  He is adorable, precious, beautiful and oh, so loved.

Welcome to the world baby R!  You will be so blessed.

I can’t wait to visit with you again soon.  Is there a better job anywhere in this world?  I don’t think so.

What a wonderful way to begin the month of March!  I was very blessed and honoured to be asked to capture this beautiful, sweet 11 day old baby girl.

“M” is incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon holding her and capturing these early moments.

She is the new baby sister of another cutie pie that I photographed last year when she turned  one.  Big sister “M” is such a gorgeous little snugglebug!  We had fun playing in between the shots, and she even helped her gracious papa make a delicious cappuccino for me.  Thank you L  family for such a warm, loving welcome.

I had the most amazing experience today.  An afternoon spent with  beautiful people, in a wonderful home, photographing a gorgeous six-day old baby girl.

From the moment I walked in the door,  I could feel the love that surrounds little baby J.  It felt like Christmas morning to me,  with all it’s joy and excitement!

J’s mom and dad are so wonderful and sweet.  They are going to be amazing parents!  And her grandparents, well, they are bursting with pride and you can almost touch the love that they shower on beautiful J.

I am honoured to be asked to capture these precious early moments and feel very blessed to have met this wonderful, gift of joy.  Thank you!

I am so thrilled that I will be back to photograph J at 6 months and 1 year!

Today I met the most beautiful newborn baby boy.  He is just 9 days old and a total joy to be with!  Baby G fills his home with love and I thought my heart would melt when he cooed at Mom and fell asleep in my arms.    It was my absolute pleasure to capture these early moments of his sure-to-be incredible life.

Welcome to the World sweet  Baby S!

I am so thrilled to be blessed with yet another newborn to cuddle and capture.

Baby S is only seven days old, so fresh and so beautifully cuddly!  It was so wonderful to spend the afternoon with her and her family.  S is blessed with two awesome big sisters, who love her with all their little hearts! Very special thanks to big sister E, for being my very helpful little assistant on the shoot.  You Rock girl!  Thanks D and I for inviting me into your family and home.

Good Morning World!

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and capturing a brand new pair of newborn twins  yesterday.  They are gorgeous, sweet and oh so precious!  It was also my birthday and I could not think of a better, more wonderful way to celebrate it than to hold Baby B and Baby L.

Thank you M & M for welcoming me into your warm home.

It truly was a blessing to meet you both and your incredible little miracles.

Yesterday  I met the most beautiful baby boy!

M is such a happy, wonderful little wonder.   It is easy to see why everyone who meets this little man quickly falls in love!

I had a wonderful morning capturing these precious early moments  in his little life.   Thank you D and R for inviting me back into your home.  I feel very blessed.

Heartwork for Haiti

I am at a loss for words.  The total devastation and loss to so many in the country of Haiti is almost incomprehensible.

How can such a poor, impoverished country endure yet another tragedy such as this?

My father in law, Frank Chauvin, set up an orphanage called,  Le Foyer des Filles de Dieu, for girls aged three to 18, in Port-au-Prince, many years ago and has been instrumental in helping and saving many lives in Haiti.

I feel so  helpless and have chosen to help in the only way I know how, with my photography.  From now until the end of February I will donate $100.00 each for every session I do.  All funds I raise  will go directly to the orphanage.    It is my hope that many families in the area will respond and help me to raise as much money as possible for the orphanage and people of Port-au-Prince.
