“If I have a monument in this world, it is my son.” — Maya Angelou

Last evening I met the most amazing, beautiful,  gracious little family.  We had been trying to schedule a beach shoot for a few weeks, but the weather just wouldn’t cooperate.  Until yesterday.

I fell in love with little L. as soon as I saw him.  He is adorable, funny, and loves a good game of peek-a-boo.  His eyes are luminous and many times during the shoot, I actually had to catch my breath.  It was one of the best sessions ever, and it ended even more wonderfully than it had begun.  With two little arms outstretched to me asking for a hug.  Does life get any better than this?

Thank you M  family.  I had a fantastic time!   🙂

“Cats whiskers are so sensitive, they can find their way through the narrowest crack in a broken heart.”

This past week, I enjoyed photographing some very beautiful feline friends! I am always astounded by the number of healthy, friendly, beautiful pets waiting for homes. Lindsay is a gorgeous brown and white tabby with personality plus! She lives in the kitty condo at the shelter.

Next is Fionna. Fionna has the most amazing markings. She is a grey and white tuxedo-type cat who is very friendly and would also make a great addition to any family!

The third furry friend is a cute, cuddly 4 month old long hair tabby named Boots. She absolutely loved playing hide and seek inside a paper bag!
They are just so precious and there are so many, many more like them, just waiting for their forever family.
Please consider adopting one of these beauties.
Have a great week!

“Kittens are Angels with whiskers.” ~Author Unknown

Hi everyone,

Meet 3 very special kitties whose only wish is to find a special loving home for Christmas.

This week’s pets of the week are the cutest, cuddliest pair of  kittens and a gorgeous young torti cat!  Thanks Kate, Laura and Rachel for your assistance!

These two sweeties are Creamsicle and CottonCandy.  They are absolutely adorable and are full of feline curiosity and cuddliness!

Double the fun!

And this beautiful, incredible furbaby is Twister.  Twister is spayed and declawed and has a wonderful loving personality!

Santa Claws?

We had so much fun getting these shots and they really seemed to enjoy playing Santa.  I hope that they all find fantastic forever homes in time to enjoy their first real Christmas.

Please stop by the shelter to visit them.  I guarantee you will not be disappointed and just may go home with the most wonderful companion you’ve ever known.

Stay cozy!

Hi everyone,

I am very happy to report that last week’s Pet of the Week,  sweet Timmos,  has found a loving new family!!! She got adopted almost immediately after being featured in our local paper 🙂  It warms my heart.  She is definitely very special, as are all the wonderful pets at the shelter.

The next 2 cats were totally adorable at our photoshoot,  and very affectionate.  First off is Esprit.   Esprit is a white and grey silver tabby and  wonderfully loving and incredibly  intelligent!  She adores Sheri at the shelter and was looking for her, and reaching up for the doorknob as I took her portrait!

Next is Rocky, a very cute, 4 year old boy with reddish, auburn tabby fur.  He has the most gorgeous eyes!  Rocky has been at the shelter since February of 2008! He is very mellow and purrs constantly!   He would be the most gracious grateful companion.

Hopefully they will both find forever homes in time for Christmas!

Have a wonderful weekend and maybe think about adding one of these fabulous felines to your family!

“A Cat’s Eyes are Windows enabling us to see into another World.”

I had the pleasure of meeting and playing with two beautiful cats this past weekend.  They will be featured in our local newspapers as Pet of the Week!  Special thanks to Sherri for your help 🙂

I am very happy to report  that all but one of the pets I have photographed for our newspaper have found loving homes! ( Toffee is still waiting for her forever family.)   I’m proud to have maybe played a small role in helping these wonderful pets find homes.

The first sweetie  is Heidi.  Heidi is a 2 year old tabby with the most amazing eyes!!!  She is very affectionate and definitely would be a wonderful addition to a loving family.  She is very loving and would make a terrific companion to anyone who loves cats!  She is gorgeous!!!_mg_13322

The next handsome feline is Ferrari.  Ferrari is about 4 years old and was brought into the shelter when his owner passed away.  He has been living there since July!  I absolutely love all the animals at the shelter, but for some reason,  he really got to me.  Maybe it was because he was so shy with my son and I at first, and then quickly came around to be petted and pampered.  Or maybe it’s because we have a black and white cat at home, or because he lost his beloved owner,  I’m not sure, but this guy really got to me!  My son also managed to capture me holding this sweet tuxedo  boy in my arms….I don’t usually have any pics of me, so here’s my cameo)  Ferrari would make an excellent furbaby – please consider welcoming him or any of the pets, into your home.

Thank you to all for your kindness, friendship and wonderful support.  I am truly blessed!

Have a peaceful evening!

The Beautiful Girl with Kaliedescope Eyes

Wow, wow and WOW!

I met the most amazing little girl and her delightful little dog today!  The first thing I noticed about K were her incredible eyes!   One of her sparkling eyes is soft blue and the other, soft green!

She is gorgeous, fun, spunky and quite the little trouper throughout our photo session.  It was getting chilly and not once did she complain.  She is a definite natural and I will be  proud to say “I found her first!”, when she is discovered as the newest top model!  🙂

Congrats K, on your very first photo shoot!  You ROCK!!!  (as does your sweet little dog!)
