“The first steps a baby takes are into your heart…” – Anonymous

Today was a wonderful day, in so many incredible ways.  I had the joy of photographing a very precious little baby boy, only 13 days new!  Baby A is bright, content, snuggly and cute as a button!  I definitely got my baby-fix as I walked and swayed him to sleep.  Hi expressions were priceless!  I loved spending time with him and his amazing mommy.

Thank you T for allowing me to capture these precious moments!

Windsor Essex County Humane Society’s Pet Idol Event!

Good Morning world!

Last night I was invited to capture some really fun moments at the Windsor Pet Idol Fashion Show.  I met some wonderful people and their wonderful pets.

It was so great to see so many caring people come out to support such an important, vital organization in our community.

Proceeds are going to the Expansion fund and the construction of the new building is now underway!

Here are some shots I captured:  Thanks to my talented son, Kevin, for being a 2nd shooter 🙂

I had the most incredible, fun afternoon yesterday!  The R family invited me into their home to capture a small part of the story of their lives.

I absolutely love these three boys!  They are sweet, thoughtful, adventurous and LOVE to be outdoors!  We had so much fun playing games and trekking through a gorgeous wooded park.

Thank you, R family for your kindness and trust.  I could not think of a better way to spend a beautiful fall afternoon!

“The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing.”

Have you ever had a day where you felt you could almost burst with joy?  Have you ever been working and realize how immensely lucky you are to be doing something you absolutely LOVE to do?  Today was that day for me.

The weather – perfect, the light –  glorious, the lens…..well, nothing short of magical.  This was my first photo session using my newest Canon  lens,  the 85 L  1.2.   I could hardly wait to upload the images.

And the children  – Wow – amazing, beautiful, sweet and so much  fun!

The greatest compliment I could ever be given is to have a little sweetie who wants nothing more than  to hold my hand and walk with me.

Thanks Moms, for trusting me to capture these wonderful moments today.  It was truly my pleasure.

Today I had the joy of meeting a very new little person.  Baby “D” is only 8 days old and just the sweetest, most precious little boy ever!  He is blessed with the most loving mommy and daddy who are so in love with him, you can feel it as you are welcomed into their warm home.  Thanks D and M for entrusting me with the capture of these precious memories.

I can hardly wait to show you your sneak peek!  Amazing, simply amazing.

Congratulations, he indeed is wonder, hopes and a dream come true!

Pet Pix Take 2

It was a wonderful day!  The weather wasn’t very cooperative, but we still had a blast and met some really nice people and their pets!

Thank you once again, to all those who came out to meet me and have a pet portrait taken on Saturday!  I appreciate your kindness and support of such a great cause.  The Humane Society is in desperate need of expanding their facilities, and the money that I raised will be donated to the expansion fund!  Almost $400.00 was raised, and although it fell short of my goal for the day, I am still very pleased with the total 🙂  I am hoping to do a few more doggie sessions in the park this week to help bump up that amount!  If you missed me at this event, please email me for another shot at it this week, – angie@angiechauvin.com.

Here are just a few of the wonderful furbabies that came out to strut their stuff!

Thank you again Tecumseh and Windsor!  YOU ROCK!!!

“It is hard to be brave, when you’re only a Very Small Animal.” – Anonymous

Yesterday I met three wonderful furbabies.  There are so,  so, so,  many at the shelter.  People move away, abandon their pets, many treated as though they are simply disposable.  And then there are the very sad ones who have lost their masters.  I can’t even imagine how they must feel being in a cage day after day after day…..waiting…..hoping.

If you have room in your heart and your home, please consider a visit to the shelter to see the great companions that are waiting for a kind person  to give them the great life they deserve.  I guarantee that you will get much more than you give when you give a helpless animal the gift of life.

Last evening I met the most amazing, beautiful,  gracious little family.  We had been trying to schedule a beach shoot for a few weeks, but the weather just wouldn’t cooperate.  Until yesterday.

I fell in love with little L. as soon as I saw him.  He is adorable, funny, and loves a good game of peek-a-boo.  His eyes are luminous and many times during the shoot, I actually had to catch my breath.  It was one of the best sessions ever, and it ended even more wonderfully than it had begun.  With two little arms outstretched to me asking for a hug.  Does life get any better than this?

Thank you M  family.  I had a fantastic time!   🙂

“Two souls, ♥ One heart…”

What a gorgeous day!

What a beautiful  moment in this couple’s new life.

I was honoured to be asked to photograph R. and B.’s wedding in beautiful Amherstburg!  They are  one of the sweetest couples I have ever met.  R. was radiant and adorable  and B. was handsome and kind, in spite of the fact that  he was under the weather.  They were surrounded by close family and friends.  It was perfect simplicity.

Thank you for inviting me in and allowing me to capture the magic of your wedding day 🙂

Here is your sneak peek!

Special kudos go out to my bro Tom, and my son Kevin for their wonderful help!  You guys rock!

Last evening, I had the pleasure of meeting two wonderful families and photographing the four sweet cousins.

A, L, J and G were so much fun and even though it was sweltering hot, they still managed to have a good time and be amazing little models for my camera 🙂  We played in the sand, chased bubbles, walked along the water and finished off with some good climbs and swings on the play equipment.  I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a summer evening!

Thank you moms for trusting me to photograph your beautiful children.  Here is your sneak peek!  (Be sure to click on thumbnails for larger view 🙂
